We chose bamboo because is solid (14mm thick), it is hard/durable (equivalent to a hardwood floor), and it is a sustainable product.

Flooring
One of the last big jobs in our renovations has begun - the laying of the new floor downstairs.
We have chosen a relatively new product on the market. It is a bamboo floating floor, and it is covering all the miss matched pieces of flooring that have resulted from previous additions to the house, and the holes and patches resulting from the removal of walls during the past 5 months.

Shoe Organisation
I love shoes. I love my shoes.
But sometimes I forget that I own a certain pair. (Some would argue I have too many. I wouldn't know - I have not counted them.)
Recently I photographed some of them and filed them away in transparent shoe boxes. I then attached a photo of them to the outside of the box, so now I can't forget what I own, and it makes the task of choosing the right shoe for the right occasion a little easier.

Happy Lighting!
Tonight I hung the Tord Boontje garland I have been saving up forever, waiting for the right place to show it off.
I chose the new bathroom.
